Apparently, there's a lot less to this picture than meets the eye.. . The film offers a rich gumbo of menace, mystery and magic - and then lets it go cold and mushy in a rainstorm of Hollywood haunted-house huggermugger.. It just bounces Brody back and forth in time and yanks us around, and around, and around..
